March 5 - 8th The Haliburton County Folk Society invites you to join us in a long weekend, one of a kind Folk Music experience for adults in the Haliburton Highlands. Building on the success of this year's Winter Folk Camp (WFC), our second Camp has been extended by one day. WFC is again being held at YMCA Wanakita near Haliburton, Ontario and is intended to be a late winter, affordable get-away. There is lots of music (concerts, classes, workshops, song circles, jamming and so on) in pleasant wooded surroundings. The circumstances and camaraderie are convivial, the accommodations comfortable and the meals are delicious and nutritious. The program has been designed to engage novice players, more experienced musicians as well as interested, but not particularly musical, Folk Music devotees. Once again we will offer an “all inclusive” option (accommodation, meals and snacks, all programming including the ceilidhs, complimentary outdoor activities, yoga classes etc.) and a “semi-inclusive” (no accommodation) option. Tickets will also be available for the Saturday and Sunday evening ceilidhs.
